46-Day-Old Baby In Penang Died After Allegedly Being Abused By Her Parents
The blunt trauma inflicted on the 46-day-old caused bleeding to her brain.

A 46-day-old baby girl in Penang passed away on 15 February after alleged abuse by her parents
She succumbed to injuries due to physical abuse at the Seberang Jaya hospital after being brought there by her father, according to Astro Awani.
In addition to bruises and blisters on her body, early post-mortem reports revealed that the infant sustained injuries to her left and right rib cages, right arm, left thigh, and private parts
"The outer bruises were caused by blunt and hard objects like the floor, walls and doors. The bruises were also the result of pinching and physical abuse," said Seberang Perai Tengah's district police chief assistant commissioner Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abd Hamid.

The baby girl's parents, who are both 22 years old, have been remanded for seven days
According to urine screening tests, both parents were not under the influence of drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) Child Act 2001 for causing injury to a child.
