The boy's uncle, Pramot Eiamsuksai, wrote on Facebook that his nephew had fallen ill on 31 August and was taken to the hospital two days later.

According to The Nation, the uncle shared that the 13-year-old returned to school the following day on Thursday, 3 September.

However, despite having legitimate reasons for not submitting his schoolwork, the teacher forced him to do 100 squat jumps as punishment

The next morning, the boy fell ill again and his parents told him to rest. But he did not wake up the following day.

According to the report, doctors suspect that the boy had died in his sleep around 3am due to cardiac malfunction.
