#Budget2020: Women And Youth Who Return To Work Will Receive RM500 Monthly For 2 Years

The #MalaysiaKerja incentive is aimed at creating better jobs for women and youth.

Women between the ages of 30 to 50 and graduates who return to work will receive an incentive of RM500 monthly for two years on top of salaries, while their employers will receive RM300 per month during the same period

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng made the announcement at the tabling of 'Budget 2020' today, 11 October.

It will apply to all women and youth who have stopped working for a year or more.

The #MalaysiaKerja incentive is to encourage them to return to the workforce

In addition, income tax exemptions for women returning to work will be extended for another four years until 2023.

According to the statement today, more job opportunities will be provided to 350,000 Malaysians over the next five years.

Depending on the sector, Malaysians who replace a foreign worker will also receive an additional RM350 or RM500 a month for two years under the #Watankerja incentive.

Meanwhile, employers will receive a monthly incentive of RM250 in the same time period.
