A RM5 monthly unlimited travel pass will be introduced to students from Standard One to Form Six next year, announced Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Aziz today, 6 November
During the tabling of Budget 2021, he said the pass will give students access to KTM commuter trains in Klang Valley, the Northern Sector KTMs, the train between Kuala Lipis and Tumput, as well as the Sabah State Railway train from Beaufort to Tenom.
The pass will also be available for people with disabilities.
The RM30 unlimited montly travel pass that was introduced in Klang Valley this year will also be expanded to Penang and Kuantan
Tengku Zafrul said the initiative will have an allocation of RM300 million for the convenience of public transport users taking Prasarana Malaysia bus and rail services.
