Heavy rainfall in the Klang Valley has caused Bangsar, Jalan Duta, and surrounding areas to experience bad flash floods since 7:30 pm

Additionally, the NPE Highway has been closed and the water level is said to be rising at University Malaya.

Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director Azizan Ismail said that a total of 28 officers were on "standby for any eventuality"

So far affected areas in KL include the city centre, Jalan Kinabalu, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim, Highway Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Damansara, Brickfields, Bangsar, Jalan Pahang, Jalan Sentul, and Jalan Tun Razak.

People stuck in the flash floods are sending photos of their cars fully submerged in the water, with others sharing them on the web:

According to reports from the Fire and Rescue Department, over 100 cars are trapped along the road towards Damansara and KL
