Couple Has A Surprise 'Guest' When A Leopard Walks Into Their Home

It took four hours for authorities to capture the wild animal.

Nothing is more terrifying than being greeted by an exotic animal roaming around your house.

This couple recently encountered a harrowing experience when a clouded leopard entered their home in Kampung Sentang Pagar Sasak, Kuala Lipis.

According to Bernama, Lipis district police chief Azli Noor said the police received a report at around 6.30pm.

A 55-year-old man was in the house with his 58-year-old wife, a stroke patient, who was lying in bed.

The petrifying moment happened when the leopard entered through the front door while chasing a cat.

Surprised by the animal's presence, the man chased it away, but unfortunately, the leopard ran into his wife's room and jumped onto the bed, Malaysia Gazette reported.

The leopard spotted under the couple's house in Kampung Sentang Pagar Sasak.

The woman ended up with a small cut on her brow and was treated by health workers from the Padang Tengku clinic

Pahang Fire Department deputy director Ismail Abdul Ghani said a team rushed to the location after the owner of the house called.

"A team of officers and members from the Kuala Lipis Fire and Rescue Station were directed to the location and found the animal resting under a resident's house located in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Pagar Sasak, Lipis," he said in a statement via Malaysia Gazette yesterday, 24 November.

After the leopard went under the couple’s house, villagers surrounded it while waiting for the arrival of personnel from the National Parks and Wildlife Department (Perhilitan) at 8pm.

Four hours later, the leopard was captured and shot with a sedative.
