EgyptAir Flight 804 From Paris To Cairo With 66 People Onboard Goes Missing

Missing EgyptAir Flight 804 is believed to have crashed

According to several reports circulating on the western news media sites, the disappeared EgyptAir Flight 804, which was en route from Paris to Cairo, has crashed into the sea off the southern Greek island of Karpathos while in Egyptian airspace.

Additionally, Airbus, the manufacturer, said the A320 operated by EgyptAir "was lost", confirming that the missing flight has crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, The Independent reported.

"Our concerns go to all those affected," a spokesperson said. "In line with ICAO annex 13, Airbus stands-by ready to provide full technical assistance to French Investigation Agency - BEA - and to the Authorities in charge of the investigation."

An EgyptAir flight that took off from Paris' Charles De Gaulle Airport for Cairo has disappeared from radar. There were 56 passengers and 10 crew members onboard the Flight MS804, EgyptAir said.

While saying the concerned authorities had been notified, and SAR teams were now looking for the plane, EgyptAir added it would issue an update "when more information becomes available"

At the time of writing this, Flight 804 has now been missing for more than three and half hours. It was due to land nearly 2 hours ago.
