Muhammad Fawwas Hawwari Nasir, the youngest of four siblings, was pronounced dead yesterday, 22 November, at 10am.

The little boy's death came just hours after he fell off a bed while sleeping.

The child was under the care of his aunt when the incident happened at about 9.30pm on 21 November

According to Jempol district police chief superintendent Muhd Nur Hishamuddin Hashim, the baby is believed to have cried for a moment after falling off the bed when he was sleeping at the aunt's house in Kampung Baru Rompin, Jempol in Negeri Sembilan. However, he went silent shortly after, leading his aunt to think that the baby had fallen back to sleep again.

Utusan Malaysia reported that Muhammad Fawwas' aunt realised what had happened but did not suspect that anything was amiss. She reportedly picked him up to put him back on the bed.

"Nevertheless, he was taken to the Bahau health clinic in the morning after his aunt realised the change in his body's colour, and he was sent to Jempol Hospital before being pronounced dead at 10am," Muhd Nur Hishamuddin was quoted as saying in a report by Berita Harian published yesterday, 22 November.

Muhammad Fawwas' father does not blame his sister-in-law for the death of his child

"I accept (redha) it as Allah's testing. No one should be blamed, including my sister-in-law who looked after my child since his birth.

"Muhammad Fawwas Hawwari is loved by all family members, even my sister-in-law, who took care of him as my wife and I worked," 39-year-old Nasir Nain said, as reported by Harian Metro.

At the moment, the police have classified the case as sudden death

Muhd Nur Hishamuddin reportedly said that the body was sent to Jempol Hospital before being transferred to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (HTJ) in Seremban for a post-mortem.
