[VIDEO] M'sian Family Rushed To Hospital After Eating Wild Mushrooms Found Near Their Home
The woman noticed that the broth had turned green after cooking the wild mushrooms.
A woman recently posted a TikTok video about how her family accidentally consumed poisonous wild mushrooms
In the two-minute clip, the woman who goes by @mas.ita on TikTok, said that her husband picked several wild mushrooms found near their home.
She added that the mushrooms looked fluffy and proceeded to clean them before cooking.
"When I examined the mushroom, it looked the same as the Split-gill mushroom, but there was a slight difference in the texture," she said in the TikTok video.
After cooking the mushrooms, the woman noticed that the broth had turned green and began to wonder if she could eat them
Regardless, she said she ate the wild mushrooms with her family and described the flavour as similar to Split-gill mushrooms.
"But after our family finished eating, we fell sick. We didn't have time to check on Google, and apparently, the mushrooms were inedible and poisonous," she said.
Her husband then asked her to throw away the mushrooms before their other children ate them.
The woman then panicked after her husband began vomiting and almost fainted
"My husband ate a lot of them, causing him to vomit and almost pass out. I panicked and because my husband was too weak to drive, I called 999.
"Even though my son and I only ate a small amount, we still felt sick," she said.
Her husband was also seen in the video lying weakly on top of an ambulance bed.
She went on to say that she decided to post the video to warn other Malaysians not to make the same mistake.
