Car In Sri Gombak Suspected Of Running A Red Light Causes Delivery Rider To Crash Into It
The 29-year-old food delivery rider suffered a fracture to his right foot.
On Saturday, 22 May, there was a road accident in which a motorcycle rider crashed into a vehicle at an intersection of Taman Seri Gombak
A 23-second dashcam footage showing the accident has since been uploaded on Facebook.
According to the footage, the car is seen turning right at the intersection. It is suspected that the car was running a red light which caused the motorcycle rider, coming from the opposite direction, to crash into it.
The crash caused the driver of the car to lose balance and drive across the elevated divider.
The motorcyclist, who is a food delivery rider, suffered injuries
According to a report in a local Chinese news daily, the 29-year-old food delivery rider suffered a fracture to his right foot and was later treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
Meanwhile, the car driver, a 67-year-old woman, was unhurt in the 12.31pm accident.
In photos shared by netizens, the rider is seen laying flat on the street while surrounded by medical staff trying to assist him
In the comment section under the original video, netizens condemned the car driver for running a red light, while some also criticised the food delivery rider, who they believe was riding too fast.
