Driver Dies After Crashing Into Motorcyclist And Concrete Wall In Shah Alam

An accident involving a car and a motorcycle took place in Glenmarie yesterday, 4 June

According to Selangor traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Supt Azman Shari'at, the incident occurred at 1.34 pm at the Persiaran Kerjaya-Jalan Pengatucara junction, The Star reported.

From a dash cam video shared on Twitter, a similar white Volkswagen to the driver's can be seen driving at a high speed.

The impact from the driver's car ramming into the motorcyclist caused the Volkswagen to climb up an embankment before hitting a wall

The impact was fatal for the driver, who was identified as 42-year-old Yahya Ismail.

According to a netizen's Facebook post, he allegedly suffered from epilepsy, a disorder which causes mild to severe seizures.

The Selangor traffic investigation and enforcement department chief revealed that the case has been classified as reckless driving under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi motorcyclist was thrown into a drain upon impact

The victim was rushed to the Shah Alam Hospital to seek treatment for his multiple injuries, The Star reported.

Through photos of the scene shared by netizens on social media, the handlebar from the motorcycle can be seen lodged into a nearby billboard.
