Malaysians Are Applauding This Guy For Chasing After An Alleged Pervert In Masjid Jamek

A Facebook user filmed himself chasing after a man whom he claimed was filming up a woman's skirt at the Masjid Jamek LRT Station earlier this week

The video shows the alleged pervert trying to evade the cameraperson, who continued to chase after the man. Nearing the end of the video, he tried to swipe the camera off its owner's hands, yelling as he did so.

The video, posted on 5 December, has since gone viral on social media, with many applauding his actions and thanking him for taking an active stand against public sexual harassment against women

Many blamed women for wearing short skirts in public, saying that it's no wonder they are targeted by perverts

Thankfully, some commenters pointed out that the root of public sexual harassment lies in the perpetrators and not the victims

The FB user who posted the video wrote that he hopes that "the public will be more willing to help me in this case next time instead of doing nothing and just recording for their entertainment."
