On Tuesday, 12 June, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe presented him with a special Japanese World Cup football team jersey
The special jersey was printed with his name "Mahathir" accompanied by the number "7" to symbolise Dr Mahathir's return to office as Malaysia's 7th prime minister.
Abe presented the jersey during a joint press conference in Tokyo after Tun Dr Mahathir was accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival at the PM's Office in Chiyoda Ward
