Muhammad Nagahswaran Muniandy, the former husband of Loh Siew Hong, has been fined RM20,000 in default of two weeks' jail by the High Court

According to The Star, High Court judge Justice Evrol Mariette Peters, issued the sentence when it was revealed that the Muslim convert had interfered with the administration of justice.

Additionally, the court ordered Nagahswaran to pay a sum of RM6,000 to his former wife. 

The report cited Peters saying that Nagahswaran's refusal to adhere with a court order had triggered a chain of events, which resulted in Loh filing countless court applications to be reunited with her children.

Nagahswaran's actions showed that he had tried to avoid being served copies of the court order

According to the report, the court order being involved in the one where Loh was granted sole custody of their three children.

Peters said Nagahswaran went missing to avoid being detected as he wished to evade the court order.

She added that during this period Loh had sent in several other applications, which left the single mother in a state of confusion regarding the rights she had to fight for her case.

The judge also mentioned that, Nagahswaran had even involved family members to prevent his children from being reunited with their mother.
