The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) has impounded an exceptionally rare Ferrari during a recent enforcement sweep dubbed 'Op Luxury'

During the operation, enforcement officers intercepted the vehicle and discovered multiple violations of the Road Transport Act 1987, according to The Vocket.

The seizure has garnered significant attention from the Malaysian automotive community due to the car's exclusivity and high market value.

Upon inspection, the luxury vehicle was found to have an expired Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM) and lacked valid insurance coverage

The driver had also failed to display the front registration number, a common aesthetic choice among supercar owners, but one that constitutes a legal offence in Malaysia.

Consequently, the department seized the vehicle under Section 64(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 to facilitate further legal proceedings.

The impounded machine is no ordinary supercar; it is a Ferrari F12berlinetta tuned by the renowned German modification firm Novitec Group

Specifically, the car appears to be a Novitec N-Largo, a widebody masterpiece crafted almost entirely from carbon fibre and 14cm wider than the standard model.

Production of this specific iteration was restricted to just 11 units worldwide, making it one of the rarest Ferraris currently on Malaysian soil.

Beyond its aggressive aesthetic, the N-Largo is a technical powerhouse, with its engine tuned to produce a staggering 781hp

Such exclusivity comes with a prohibitive price tag that reflects its "ultra-limited" status.

On the international secondary market, a Novitec F12 N-Largo can command prices of up to USD850,000 (RM3,757,000), depending on its mileage and bespoke specifications.

The fact that such a high-value asset was operated without basic legal requirements like insurance is particularly notable, given the immense financial risk involved in the event of an accident.
