Kedah Father Gets 28 Years Behind Bars For Raping His 12-Year-Old Daughter Multiple Times
He pleaded guilty to all three charges of raping and molesting his own daughter.

A 42-year-old scrap metal collector in Pendang has been sentenced to 28 years in jail and 25 strokes of rotan for raping and molesting his 12-year-old daughter between September and October
The father pleaded guilty to all three charges in two separate proceedings before Judge Juraidah Abbas and Judge Azman Abu Hassan at the Alor Setar Sessions Court on 15 November
According to a report in NST Online, in the first proceeding, the accused faced two charges of raping his 12-year-old daughter at a house in Kampung Kedah, Mukim Guar Kepayang in Pendang on 18 September and end of October.
For which, Judge Juraidah sentenced the man to 20 years in jail and 20 strokes of rotan after finding him guilty under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code.
He was accused of performing oral sex on his daughter at the same location.
Judge Azman sentenced him to eight years in jail and five strokes of rotan after he was found guilty under Section 14(a) of Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
The accused had pleaded for a more lenient punishment, asking the court to consider that he has a disabled sister under his care
The father, who has not been named to protect the privacy of the victim, has been divorced for 10 years. He was not represented in the court.
DPP Rehab Abdul Shukur, who prosecuted the case, had asked for a just punishment due to the seriousness of the crime which left the victim traumatised for life.
According to the NST Online report, the sentences are to run separately, beginning from the date the accused was arrested on 2 November this year.
