A combined reward of $10,000 is being offered by local businesses and Santa Ana’s government for information leading to the arrest of four other suspects in the case—two men and two women.

In recent developments, the woman charged with Kim Pham’s murder is now also claiming that she was also a victim of the brutal brawl that took the beautiful writer’s life.

A 23-year-old student who died after she was brutally beaten outside a club in California may have sparked the savage attack by accidentally photo-bombing a group of people as they were trying to take a picture.

According to a friend, Kim Pham accidentally walked right in front of a camera while another group was snapping photos outside of The Crosby lounge in Santa Ana on Saturday.

Bystanders took video of the incident on their mobile phones which Los Angeles police are now using in their investigations.

A third woman then came onto the scene and placed a sharp kick right onto Pham's temple. When Pham slumped to the floor, the brawlers fled the scene.

"One kick and she was out cold," said Jason, a witness. "No one touched her after that."

Pham was hit multiple times and stomped to the ground. When police arrived to the scene, Pham was unresponsive. She was then rushed to a local hospital where she was declared as brain dead.

Vanesa Tapia Zavala was arrested on Monday, 20 Jan 2014, and is accused of taking part in the Saturday morning beating that left 23-year-old Annie Hung 'Kim' Pham brain-dead. Zavala, who pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.

A second attorney, Michael Molfetta, a criminal defense lawyer who said he’s been contacted by a potential defendant, said “there is a lot more to this."

"It’s discouraging to think that we have become a culture that is more likely to record an incident, such as the beating of Kim Pham, rather than make any effort to prevent the worst possible outcome."
