[NEW UPDATE] India Temple Stampede: 21 Officials Suspended
Over 100 people were killed Sunday in a stampede by masses of Hindu worshipers crossing the bridge to the remote Ratangarh village temple to honor the Hindu mother goddess Durga on the last day of the popular 10-day Navaratra festival.
UPDATE: 21 officials including Datia collector suspended
The officials and police personnel were suspended after the state government took nod of the Election Commission, as the state is bound by Model Code of Conduct after announcement of Assembly polls scheduled for next month, they said.

The search have ended for more victims and according to local police, the toll of dead from the stampede rose to 115
Nearly 150,000 pilgrims had gathered at the Ratangarh temple in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday to celebrate the end of the Hindu holy festival of Navratri.
