Disney+ will soon be launching in Singapore and the world-renowned Walt Disney Company is looking for people to hire from just across the causeway

Recently debuting in the United States in November 2019, Disney+ is the company's new on-demand, subscription-based streaming service.

Only available in about 12 countries so far, rumours of the streaming platform arriving on our neighbour's shores has been going around only since earlier this month.

According to Mothership, Disney Junior Asia announced that Disney channels were pulled off Singaporean television platforms Singtel and Starhub from 1 June.

Reaffirming the speculations, the company was recently seen posting new Singapore-based job listings on their careers website

Since 15 June, Disney Careers has listed eight Singapore-based Disney+ roles to fill:
- Graphics Designer
- Director/Senior Manager of Brand Marketing & Partnerships
- Senior Manager/Manager of Social Media
- Senior Manager of Creative Communications
- Senior Manager/Manager of PR & Communications
- Creative Producer
- Manager of Partner Engagement
- Manager of Subscription Management

But it won't be easy getting in. Most of the roles call for the basic qualification of a Bachelor's Degree and all of them require at least five to 10 years of experience in the respective fields.

Bonus: They did not specify nationality.

As for Malaysia, we may soon be seeing Disney+ available on our own shores soon enough

According to Android Central, Disney expects to launch the streaming platform worldwide within the next two years, notably in Asia by 2021, but is currently subject to delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will be an obvious contender to other streaming platforms already available in Malaysia such as Netflix and HBO Go.

Subscribers will be given access to a library of movies and series from well-beloved franchises such as Disney itself, Pixar, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, National Geographic, and 20th Century Fox.

SOCSO predicts that the COVID-19 pandemic will leave many more Malaysians unemployed:
