Lead singer of rock band Lostprophets, Ian Watkins, has been sentenced to 35 years in jail over child sex offences.

Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins Has Been Sentenced To 35 Years In Jail For Multiple Child Sex Offenses
The sentence for a string of child sex offenses includes 29 years behind bars for the disgraced rock star, according to Britain's Press Association news agency. Six years are on license, meaning he will remain under police supervision.

defending barrister Sally O'Neill QC how Watkins "belatedly realised the gravity of what happened" and was "deeply, deeply sorry".
She told the court how he had developed an "obsession" with filming himself having sex and had become addicted to drugs at the age of 30.
He also pleaded guilty to six counts of taking and possessing indecent images of children and one of possessing extreme pornographic images, said a spokeswoman for the Cardiff court.
Ian's Parents Were Too Distressed To Go To Court To See Their Son And Said They Want To "Knock Him Around" In His Prison Cell
John Davies, 53, and his wife Elaine, 60, were too distressed to go to court to see their son sentenced yesterday and have instead focused their sympathy on his victims.
‘I could cheerfully spend an hour knocking him around a cell,’ Mr Davies, a Baptist minister, told Daily Mail.

Ian Watkins Was The Lead Vocalist Of Rock Band Lostprophets
Lostprophets were a Welsh rock band from Pontypridd, formed in 1997. Founded by their lead vocalist Ian Watkins, bassist (later guitarist) Mike Lewis, drummer Mike Chiplin and guitarist Lee Gaze, they were originally a side-project to hardcore punk band Public Disturbance.
