Bus operator, MARALiner, has issued an apology following the viral incident where a bus driver left behind a passenger who was late by a minute
The situation gained widespread attention after another bus passenger shared a video of the incident at Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal (MBKT) on TikTok.
In the video, the late passenger can be seen frantically chasing after their departing bus, tapping on its sides while asking to be let in. Despite the passenger's desperate attempts, the bus driver seemingly ignored him and continued driving.

Sinar Harian reported that the bus, operated by MARALiner, was scheduled for a 9pm departure. However, the passenger was late by one minute.

MARALiner chief executive officer Zachary Ismail has since apologised and expressed regret over the incident that occurred
In a Facebook post on 21 September, Zachary said, "We have contacted the passenger to express our sincerest apology and regret."
He added that internal investigations were carried out after receiving complaints and appropriate action has been taken against the driver involved.
"MARALiner once again apologises to everyone and hopes that such incidents will not happen again in the future," stated Zachary.
