Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Ministry of Health has been allocated RM45.3 billion for the upcoming year, up from RM41.2 billion last year

A key focus for the government is to provide high-quality, comfortable, and people-friendly healthcare facilities. As part of this commitment, RM1.35 billion has been allocated for the maintenance of healthcare infrastructure, including the renovation of ageing hospital toilets and outdated patient wards.

The government also continues its efforts to upgrade dilapidated clinics nationwide.

Under the MADANI initiative, the budget has increased annually, from RM100 million in 2023 to RM150 million in 2024, and will rise to RM300 million next year.

This increase underscores the government's dedication to improving access to better healthcare facilities, especially in underserved areas.
