MP Steven Sim Aids Child With A Hole In His Heart By Covering RM65K Surgery Bill

On his Twitter account, the politician recently shared about the struggles faced by a young Malaysian couple, who have a child with a hole in his heart, a type of congenital heart defect.
According to the video posted by the MP, the cost of their child's surgery is RM65,000.
He mentioned that the couple is facing a huge test from God, indicating that the amount is a substantial burden for them to bear.
After learning about the predicament faced by the young couple, Sim decided to alleviate their financial burden by covering the cost of their child's surgery
"Do not worry about the cost of the surgery. I will take care of it," said the Bukit Mertajam MP.
He said that he is willing to cover the cost of the surgery, in hopes that the child, named Amin, will be able to lead a healthy life.
In his Twitter post, Sim added that as an MP, he will continue treating underprivileged kids as his own. The lawmaker stated that helping those in dire need is his ideal Malaysia Madani, affirming his own commitment as a representative of the people.
The video clip posted by Sim ends with him waving our national flag with a little boy, as text that reads "This is the real Malaysia Madani. Happy Independence Day" flashes across the screen.
