MySejahtera To Add More Booking Functions At Govt Health Facilities Starting 2023
This will allow healthcare facilities to organise their schedules based on their respective capacities and avoid overcrowding at the registration and waiting areas.
To reduce waiting time and overcrowding, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will expand the use of the MySejahtera starting 1 January 2023 to book appointments at government hospitals and clinics
According to Free Malaysia Today, Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said patients will be able to make appointments for 673 healthcare clinics through MySejahtera, with more to follow in the future.
"This will allow healthcare facilities to organise their schedules based on their respective capacities and avoid overcrowding at the registration and waiting areas," she said in a statement yesterday, 28 December.
Emergency cases will not need to be scheduled in advance using MySejahtera
Zaliha also said that 2023 appointments for outpatient treatment, visits under the National Health Screening Initiative (NHSI), and the healthcare scheme for the B40 group (PeKa B40) and others can already be scheduled.
Any changes or cancellations can also be made through the app.
She had previously mentioned that plans were being developed by the MOH to also resolve the issue of overcrowding in emergency and trauma departments and improve patient care.
Here are the steps to make an appointment at a government clinic through MySejahtera:
2. Select your name to book an appointment.
3. Select the service you want to apply for.
