An e-hailing driver was upset after a group of students came squeezing into his four-seater car, causing him to cancel their ride
The driver recorded the entire incident and shared it on TikTok yesterday, 1 June. It has since gone viral with over 2.6 million views.
In the one-minute video, a group of women can be seen entering the car while the driver repeatedly tells them he can only allow a maximum of four passengers.
According to the caption, there were six of them.
He explains that there isn't enough space for all of them, and one of the women responds that it shouldn't be a problem because she is petite.
Annoyed by their behaviour, the e-hailing driver tells the women to leave his car
Then, he cancels their booking and tells them to exit his vehicle.
"Oh, really?" a passenger is heard saying, before all them alight from the man's car.
At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 4,500 comments, with a majority of them praising the driver for his actions
A TikTok user wrote that it's the driver's right if he wants to cancel the ride, and the group should have gone with a six-seater option since there were so many of them.
Another user, who was once a Grab driver and encountered a similar incident, said the driver did the right thing.
Another user said people should think from the driver's perspective as he was just prioritising the safety of both himself and his passengers.
