Many have raised alarms regarding the health risks associated with floodwaters, particularly for children
Some cited that the contaminated water is a breeding ground for waterborne diseases such as leptospirosis, typhoid, and melioidosis, all of which are potentially fatal infections.
Meanwhile, others pointed out that floodwaters are often a mix of drain water, sewage, and waste.
One user commented, "Ya Allah, why are they treating the floodwater like a water park? It's too dirty to let your children play there."
Another added, "Drain water, sewage, and trash. I hope all their antibodies are strong."
