Netizens Are Livid After A Caller Said He Can See Nurul Izzah's Underwear On A Live Show

You don't often see Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah rendered speechless, but that was exactly what happened when a male caller decided to call out her style of dressing on a live talk show
The young politician was the guest of the day on former Hot FM DJ Faizal Ismail's talk show #FBILIVE, which was broadcast in real-time on 22 May.
The caller, who introduced himself as Azrul, advised Nurul Izzah to be more mindful of the way she dresses, adding that the top part of her clothing is "exposed" when her tudung (headscarf) gets swept aside
"YB's tudung is sometimes swept aside, you know, so sometimes we can see the top part (of your clothing)," he said.
"Especially when you wear a kebaya, it's tight, so the top part is visible," he added.
Nurul Izzah looked at host Faizal in disbelief for a brief moment before both of them awkwardly thanked the caller for his input. However, Azrul was not done.
As the show's host attempted to end the call by thanking Azrul for his "advice", Azrul went on to say the following:
"We can see your underwear, we can see your breasts."
Classy.
Though the call only lasted less than a minute, a video clip of the segment has gone viral on Twitter
Netizens - both men and women - are livid. Many criticised Azrul's inappropriate public remarks, calling him out for his "perverted" mentality and "lack of self control".
Some also came to Nurul Izzah's defence, saying that the caller totally overlooked the MP's accomplishments by reducing her worth to the way she dresses
In light of the uproar, the Permatang Pauh MP tweeted her appreciation to those who defended her against the caller's sexist remarks
