Keluarga Sugumar tetap mahu Pornthip
“The family wants to continue in their pursuit for a second post-mortem. They want to fight on,” N. Surendran told The Malaysian Insider.
Keluarga C. Sugumar masih mahu Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand untuk menjalankan autopsi kedua ke aras kematiannya, dan akan “terus berjuang” sehingga Putrajaya menunaikan permintaan mereka.

He said this in response to news portal reports which quoted PKR lawyer N. Surendran as saying that Najib had communicated with Thai PM to stop Dr Pornthip from conducting the post-mortem on Sugumar.
“It is not true... these are all fairy tales. Don’t listen to it. Not at all,” Bernama quoted him as telling reporters after opening the Perak Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) here.

Pornthip tolak jemputan atas alasan peribadi
"We are quite taken aback and surprised. She did not give any other reason for not being able to perform the autopsy," Sugumaran's family lawyer said.
“Earlier, she informed us that she agreed to do the second autopsy and even gave us a date Feb 20. However, we received an e-mail stating that she is unable to do the autopsy for personal reasons.”

"I've given the approval to them to do whatever they want to do with the body so pandai-pandai la," Abdul Rashid told The Malaysian Insider.
"We are satisfied with the first autopsy report so why should I issue the second letter. It's them who are dissatisfied with the first report," said Kajang police chief.

Surendran menegaskan pihak polis sebelum ini enggan memberikan arahan bertulis kepada hospital untuk menjalankan bedah siasat kedua.
University Hospital has prohibited Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand from performing the second autopsy on C. Sugumaran despite the Health Ministry’s written approval yesterday.

It has been informed that the SDR investigation paper on the case of Sugumaran’s death has been referred to the public prosecutor this morning and approval has been given for an inquest.

Penyokong keluarga pengawal keselamatan C Sugumaran berhimpun sejak 10 pagi tadi di hadapan Bukit Aman menuntut polis membenarkan bedah siasat kedua dijalankan.
Keluarga menolak panggilan untuk inkues. Mereka mahu penyiasatan di bawah seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan dan pendakwaan bagi pembunuhan - terdapat bukti-bukti yang jelas dan terdapat saksi.
