How will this be possible?

“This is done via cost reduction activities carried out throughout the entire supply chain, including improving efficiency and eliminating wastage, over the past two-and-a-half years,” he added.

Aminar Rashid said the availability of the technology here would ensure a big reduction in their cost of producing cars that use EAT and Perodua's next model that uses the automatic gearbox will come from the factory.

He said Perodua was also working with the government in their plans to bring two more technologies into Malaysia.

One of them is the technology to produce thin and strong plastic components -- which car bumpers and interior parts are made of.
