Apparently there was a huge blackout at 1 Utama around 8pm on Sunday, 24 February 2013. The cause is still unknown, but twitter was abuzz with the news of fire in the New Wing. What actually happened? 'Follow the Story' here and we'll let you know when there are new updates to the story.

Statement/Update From 1 Utama Shopping Centre's Official FB Page
At approximately 8.00pm on 24 February 2013, 1 Utama suffered a power supply outage by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) which the mall had unfortunately no control over.

At 9.00pm, a minor fire took place that broke out at the mall’s garden rooftop shed. The fire alarm was set off and our safety personnel rushed to extinguish the fire, with Bomba authorities notified.

The minor fire did not spread to other areas of the mall, and there were no casualties. At the time of this statement, we are still awaiting for Bomba to investigate the source of the fire.
