Tahanan berkenaan kemudiannya meninggalkan empat anggota pengiring itu di tepi jalan sebelum bertindak melarikan van polis dinaiki untuk meloloskan diri.

Kawan mungkin bantu menyembunyi 2 tahanan masih lolos

Polis yakin kedua-dua tahanan yang diburu itu masih bersembunyi di negeri ini dan polis kini meningkatkan usaha memburu mereka.

Polis tidak menolak kemungkinan 2 tahanan yang meloloskan diri daripada tahanan polis ketika dibawa ke Mahkamah Butterworth bulan lepas, mendapat bantuan pihak lain untuk bersembunyi.

2 tahanan lolos dijumpa di Prai

Polis juga dimaklumkan tiada lagi rakan yang ingin membantu mereka dan disebabkan itu kedua-dua penjenayah terbabit mula keluar dari tempat persembunyian untuk meminta bantuan orang awam.

Walaupun 2 tahanan itu mempunyai telefon bimbit, mereka memilih untuk menggunakan telefon awam supaya polis tidak dapat mengesan lokasi mereka.
