With the heatwave in full blaze, it can be dangerous to leave electronics unprotected in a car especially when it's parked under the hot sun

A Penangite learnt his lesson the hard way when his power bank exploded in his car, igniting a fire that destroyed the entire dashboard and other nearby parts

Fortunately, a lady informed the parking attendant when she smelled burnt plastic and saw smoke emanating from the car. Thanks to their quick action, the fire was extinguished before it spread to the engine and the rest of the car.

Tan, the owner of the car, stated that there is a possibility of a bigger explosion as the fuel tank was half full at the time.

So folks, make sure to bring your electronics with you when you park your car under the hot sun!
