Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad just resigned as the Prime Minister of Malaysia
His official Twitter account has published a press statement, confirming the resignation.
A meeting between MPs from BN, PAS, PKR, and Bersatu was held last night, 23 February, sparking rumours that a new government will be formed
Meanwhile, Tun Mahathir was not present at the dinner dubbed Majlis Makan Malam Muafakat MP held at Sheraton Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
According to the official statement, a letter of resignation was submitted to the Agong at 1pm today.
