A massive fire broke out early this morning at Pudu's famous Glutton Street ('Wai Sek Kai')

News first began to spread when a now viral Facebook post featured the massive flames and large cloud of smoke encapsulating the street.

The fire is believed to have taken place at about 2.30am this morning

None of the hawker stalls were open at the time and there have been no reported cases of any casualties just yet.

According to a report by China Press, there is still no known cause of the fire but the hawkers speculate that it might've been caused by drug addicts who tend to frequent the area.

The street is known for their wide array of delicious but cheap street food.

Local favourites at 'Wai Sek Kai' include the fried chicken, lok lok and char kueh kak.

A lawyer is now helping the hawkers to relocate and operate in a new place for the time being

Hopefully the iconic food street's legacy won't come to an end just yet.

This incident comes just a week after the raging fire at Pasar Besar Seremban. Read more about it here:
