See How Malaysians Are Consoling Their Heartbroken Hero After He Couldn't Fulfil His Dream
'There will not be another like you!'
World No. 1, Lee Chong Wei, is a heartbroken man tonight.
Faced against a worthy opponent from China, the Malaysian shuttler had to settle (for the lack of a better word) for Silver, after being forced to let go of his life-long dream of an Olympics Gold.
While the entire country was rooting for the national shuttler to win, no one will truly know what it feels like to be Lee Chong Wei tonight
Coming to his defence, our Minister of Youth & Sports, Khairy Jamaluddin took to his Twitter to urge Malaysians to "send him your support, your love & your thanks."
No one will know what it feels like to be @LeeChongWei right now. No one. Send him your support, your love & your thanks.

Other Malaysian leaders joined in, praising Lee Chong Wei's valiant efforts tonight.
To them, they said, Lee Chong Wei has nothing to apologise for.
Even PM Najib Razak took to Facebook to tell the world no. 1 that he put up a good fight. "Regardless of the medal, you are a hero for us Malaysians. Congratulations!"
Asked PM @NajibRazak how he felt, he said he's still proud of @leechongwei.

And while feeling disappointed is granted, Malaysians showed that they could still be proud of Dato' Lee Chong Wei's Silver:
I'm not even disappointed that he lost but I just really feel so bad for him. No one on this planet who deserves a gold more than him.
