Selangor Maritime Gateway Initiative Wins Gold At Green World Awards 2023 In USA

This is the second international award procured by the company for the SMG initiative.

The developer of the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) initiative, Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB), has recently won gold for Sustainability in Government at the prestigious Green World Awards 2023

In a statement released yesterday, 25 April, SMG said the developer had to compete against 500 other nominations from around the globe to receive recognition for their efforts.
 
The SMG initiative aims to rejuvenate Klang River and make it viable for new economic opportunities, as well as improve social wellbeing of communities along the river.

LLSB thanks the Selangor state government, municipalities, state agencies, consultants, non-governmental organisations, and corporations for their endless support to make this vision a reality.

Subsequently, LLSB has been invited to be a part of the Green World Ambassadors movement

The company will also have their winning paper published in The Green Book, an international work of reference on the best environmental practice for others to model and learn from.

According to The Star, LLSB received the trophy and certificate from The Green Organization founder and chief executive officer, Roger Wolens, at the award ceremony in Miami, Florida, USA on Monday, 24 April.

In 2022, LLSB won silver for the Best Government Sustainability Initiative at the Gulf Sustainability Awards.
