Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Into A Parked Police Car On The Federal Highway

Officers were initially at the scene to attend to a separate accident.

A man was recently nabbed by the police after he crashed into a stationary patrol car on the Federal Highway

Malay Mail reported that the incident took place around 4am on Sunday, 16 February.

Officers were initially at the scene to attend to a separate accident.

Suddenly, a vehicle approached them from behind and crashed into the patrol car.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said that the department was informed of a road accident that morning involving a car which had stalled in the middle of the road.

He explained to Bernama that a police corporal, who was on duty at the scene, had parked his patrol car behind the stalled vehicle.

"The officer left the emergency lights flashing as he stepped out to help direct the traffic. However, a car suddenly approached from behind and crashed into the police patrol car," he added.

The suspect, allegedly drunk, was taken to the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters

Free Malaysia Today reported that no people were harmed in the accident.
