Office Tenant At Sunway Nexis Tests Positive For COVID-19

The man had recently returned from Sabah.

A tenant from the Sunway Nexis Biz Suites in Petaling Jaya has tested positive for COVID-19

According to The Star, Sunway Nexis Management Corporation released a statement announcing the issue on Tuesday, 29 September.

The man is an office tenant at the commercial hub in Kota Damansara that comprises not only of office suites but also retail shops and residences.

In the statement, the management assured that the COVID-19 case is now at Sungai Buloh Hospital receiving treatment

"He has also taken all the steps necessary to ensure that the spread is contained, and his premises has been closed and to be disinfected thoroughly," reads the statement.

A source told Free Malaysia Today that the man had recently returned from Sabah.

Sunway Nexis also assured that disinfection and thorough cleaning of the building is currently being carried out

The management said that they have taken all necessary action to ensure their premises remain safe for visitors.

"We have also reported this to the Ministry of Health (MOH) via the Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Petaling immediately," they said.

"During these trying moments, we would like to advise all tenants and occupants of Sunway Nexis to remain vigilant and to continue to follow standard operating procedures."
