The Kaamatan Harvest Festival and the Gawai Dayak Festival are both approaching their festive seasons, which begin on Tuesday, 30 May, and Thursday, 1 June, respectively

To commemorate the special holidays, social media content creator Pudds recently uploaded an Instagram Reel alongside Malaysian politician Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

In the 43-second clip, the two are first seen dancing to Puteri Santubong dressed in the traditional garments of some of Sarawak's ethnic groups.

Pudds beautifully donned the full Iban costume, complete with a sugu tinggi headpiece, a bidang sarong, and a colourful marik empang.

Aside from the Iban clothing, they also wore the traditional costumes of two other Sarawakian ethnic groups, namely the Orang Ulu and Bidayuh.

The duo then changed into clothing from different Sabahan ethnic groups and danced to Tinggi Tinggi Gunung Kinabalu, an evergreen Sabahan anthem

Pudds wore the Sinuangga to introduce the traditional clothing worn by the Kadazan-Dusun people, while Syed Saddiq was smiling from ear to ear in a Gaung.

Historically, Kadazan-Dusun women wore the Sinuangga costume and competed in the Unduk Ngadau beauty pageant.

The two also wore traditional Kadazan-Papar and Bajau Samah costumes.

Throughout the video, Syed Saddiq attempted to dance and keep up with Pudds, who appeared to have mastered many traditional moves.

Netizens fell in love with the video and left supportive comments

One user commented that they teared up when they heard Tinggi Tinggi Gunung Kinabalu playing in the video.

"You don't know how hearing Tinggi Tinggi Gunung Kinabalu made me tear up as a Sabahan working and earning a living far from home. Love this!" they wrote.

Some commented that the pair looked cute dancing together.
