Tengku Zafrul: Salaries For Frontliners Cannot Be Paid If #Budget2021 Is Not Approved
He, however, said that he is optimistic.
The Perikatan Nasional (PN) government will not be able to pay the salaries of COVID-19 frontliners if Budget 2021 is not approved by the Dewan Rakyat, according to Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz
He, however, said that he is optimistic about the first Federal budget by the PN government, since it came to power, being approved
The Finance Minister said that the Budget 2021 is crucial for the government to carry out its commitments in the war against COVID-19 as it involved operating and development expenditures focused on helping the people and restoring Malaysia's business and the economy.
For me, if this Budget can help our country, then there is no reason for it not to be approved, or rejected.
Speaking at a media conference in Wisma Bernama on Saturday, 14 November, he still cautioned that if it's rejected, the government's commitments will not be funded, including disbursing aid to the people.
