Power comes from a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an output of 103 bhp/138 Nm. Intelligent variable valve timing plus a 6-speed automatic transmission (5-speed manual also available) enables the M4 to go up to almost 17 kms/litre, it is claimed. As with many other new SUV models in the market, the M4 has front-wheel drive only.
