It was reported that breakfast was being served when the turbulence happened. The seat belt signs were believed to be on at the time. Meal services were suspended when the turbulence became severe.

Twelve people on board a Singapore Airlines (SIA) Airbus A-380 aircraft were injured after the aircraft experienced severe turbulence. The flight, SQ308, was about two hours into its journey to London's Heathrow Airport when it experienced "moderate to severe turbulence".

The aircraft had experienced a sudden loss of altitude, and that "all loose items" became "airborne". The 12 who were injured received medical attention on arrival at Heathrow Airport.

Paramedics attended to those injured immediately when the plane touched down at Heathrow Airport. And passengers received a box of chocolates as compensation.

Aircraft continued flight after turbulence

The Aviation Herald reported that the aircraft continued the flight to London for a safe landing about 13 hours after departure. The aircraft was unable to perform the return flight SQ-319 on time and departed for the return as flight SQ-319D the following day about 28 hours after landing.
