Watch How This Courageous Man Saved A Dog From Drowning In A Monsoon Drain
Salute!
A video showing a man saving a helpless dog from drowning has gone viral on social media
Facebook user Ivy Teon posted the video on 7 April, showing the quick-thinking man jumping into a large monsoon drain to save a canine in Kampung Jawa, Kuantan.
The clip has gone viral on Facebook, garnering over 2,500 shares at the time of writing.
In the 26-second clip, the man - who was dangling over the drain railings - called the dog to his side and used his legs to catch hold of it
He held onto the dog and reached out to a friend for help. With a little bit of teamwork, the duo managed to get the canine out of the ditch.
Knowing that it had escaped danger, the dog could be seen cheerfully wagging its tail.
Teo, who witnessed the entire thing, said the white canine had fallen into the drain after it tried to evade an oncoming car
"On that day, there were quite a number of dogs within the vicinity of the monsoon drain. The white canine had accidentally fallen into the drain after it was startled by a vehicle. Due to the depth and lack of solid ground, it had to keep swimming.
Thankfully, the group of men saw the dog in distress and took action immediately. I was very worried about their safety because the ditch is really deep," Teo said as quoted by Chinese daily Sinchew.
