Recently, a TikTok video showing a commuter causing discomfort to the other passengers by taking off his shoes and eating in the Kelana Jaya LRT has gone viral
The incident came to light when a video of the occurrence was posted on a social media platform, according to a report in New Straits Times.
In the video, the man can be seen blatantly disregarding the public transport's rules by eating on the LRT and subsequently leaving a mess under the seats.
He also hogged three seats with his belongings and removed his shoes.
The video of the "disgusting" and "uncivilised" passenger, as described by the user, has since amassed 48,900 views on TikTok, with netizens expressing their dismay and anger at the man's behaviour.
Following that, Rapid KL extended their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the passenger in the comments section of the post
"Eating is not allowed inside the train. If such an incident happens again, please immediately inform us of the train number so that we can take immediate action," read the comment.
The train operator added, "We apologise for the inconvenience and will continuously monitor to ensure incidents like this do not happen again."
