Video Shows A Car Driver Repeatedly Cutting Into Other Driver's Lane On Jalan Kuching

Police managed to track down and detain both the drivers on Saturday night.

There was a traffic incident on Friday, 22 October, involving two cars that could have turned fatal and put other road users lives in danger

The incident, caught on video, occurred at about 3.30pm on Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur.

In the video, which has gone viral across several social media platforms, the driver of an unidentified car is seen swerving from his middle lane into the left lane and blocking another car.

As the other driver slows down to move into the middle lane, the driver of the unidentified car, once again, swerves back into the middle lane, forcing the other driver to switch back to the left lane.

The driver of the unidentified then starts to again move into the left lane to block the other car.

Following the incident, police have detained both the drivers

According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Sarifudin Mohd Salleh, the two men were detained for driving their vehicles in a reckless manner along Jalan Kuching.

"We managed to track down the drivers and detained them at 10pm on Saturday, 23 October after recording their statements," Sinar Harian quoted him as saying today, 24 October.

Of the two, one is 47-year-old and the other 33-year-old.

"One of the drivers tested positive for methamphetamine and will be charged for a drug offence," he said, adding that they will be charged under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly.
