YouTube user ‘cyclejack’ posted up this film in June of his ride through Romford, where he was hit by a car turning into a side road as he was following a cycle lane.

The unknown rider posted the video on YouTube under the user name cyclejack in a bid to highlight the importance of a cycle safety campaign.

As he was crossing a junction, a car who didn't seem to notice the cyclist turned, giving the cyclist no time to brake
Thankfully, the cyclist seemed to be fine as he landed on his feet. His bike was not.
"Cyclejack" goes on to explain that the driver admitted she was in the wrong after he recorded the accident on video
"At the time the driver was apologetic and was informed by the police that I was recording my ride and seemed to admit fault. But when it came to my insurance claim against her she disputed it. Safe to say the video has saved me a lot of hassle and 3 weeks later the cheque has already arrived from the insurance company."
