Couple who harassed MBSA officer sentenced to 14 days in jail
Malay daily Berita Harian reported that Shah Alam magistrate P Sarulatha delivered the sentence today, and ordered a RM3,000 fine per person. They would have to serve another seven days in jail if they failed to pay the fine.
Both of them pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 353 of the Penal Code for obstructing a Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) enforcer from carrying out her duties in Bukit Rahman Putra, Sungai Buloh yesterday, 24 November.
The man, identified as Lor Ka Hoo, 35 and his wife Tan Sit Fun, 30, were released on RM2,000 bail each pending their appeal against the sentencing.

In an intense 2-minute video that has gone viral, a couple was caught verbally and physically harassing a female Shah Alam Municipal Council (MBSA) officer in a video after she issued them a parking ticket
The incident is said to have occurred at Bukit Rahman Putra in Sungai Buloh.
The video showed the woman hanging on tightly to the female officer's uniform while the man boxed her in between two cars while trying to take a photo of her face
The officer was also heard reprimanding them for obstructing a public official from their duty and calling for help from her partner. A man in a red helmet also got involved, trying to help both officers diffuse the situation.
The video was posted last night by several Facebook users, going viral in a matter of hours. Despite some racist comments, most pointed out that this is the fault on the individuals involved and called for the investigative action into the couple.
Well, good news, Malaysians! The couple has indeed gotten arrested on the day of the incident and has been referred to the deputy public prosecutor for the next course of action
