Viral Video Shows Armed Men On A Motorcycle Robbing A Woman And Her Friend In Cheras

The motorcycle they were using had a fake licence plate.

In an incident that happened on Thursday, 1 December, at around 2pm, an armed robbery took place in Taman Midah in Cheras

A 51-second mobile footage of the incident has gone viral on social media. It shows two men on a motorcycle robbing two people of cash and their mobiles.

According to Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Chong Kok Sin, the victim was a 19-year-old girl who was chatting with a friend outside her house in Jalan Midah Tengah 2 when the two men on a motorcycle approached them, brandishing a parang and robbed them off their iPhone 5, a Nokia phone and RM210.

While fleeing, the rider hit a Honda Insight, which resulted in both the men being thrown off the bike. They still managed to escape.

ACP Chong said the victims couldn't get a clear look at the robbers as they were wearing helmets with dark visors, The Star Online reported.

The motorcycle they were using had a licence plate bearing the numbers WXD 5357. It's a fake as it belonged to a Proton Saga FLX.
