Watch Teen Smash An Egg On Aussie Politician's Head Who Blamed Muslims For The NZ Attack

A 17-year-old boy is being hailed online for smashing an egg on the head of Australian senator Fraser Anning while the politician was at an event in Melbourne earlier today

The incident involving the egg occurred when the Senator was in Melbourne to meet Victorian supporters of his newly founded "Conservative National Party".

While the Aussie politician was addressing reporters, the teenage boy approached him from behind and smashed an egg on his head while filming the incident on his phone.

The moment the egg made contact with the senator's head, it burst open.

The senator retaliated by hitting the unnamed teen in the face repeatedly before being stopped by a security guard

However, while the senator was restrained by security officials after punching the young boy, his supporters tackled the boy to the ground and pinned him down.

The entire incident was captured on video, as the event was being live-streamed on Facebook. You can watch the full video below:

While the boy was arrested by Victoria Police, he has now been released without charge, local media reported

Meanwhile, people on social media have praised the boy

On Facebook, an Australian uploaded a mock award certificate, nominating "the guy who egged Anning" as the "Australian of The Year Awards".

On Twitter, people wanted to buy the egg guy a drink for what he did.
