What Does Tony Pua Want For His 43rd Birthday?
RM43 for a better Malaysia!
43 years ago, on 1 August 1972, in Batu Pahat, was born a boy named Tony Pua who would go on to become a Malaysian politician to fight for the idea of Impian Malaysia (the Malaysian Dream)
Currently, Tony is barred from leaving the country for speaking against the 1MDB scandal, which he has termed as "the mother of mother of mother of all scandals in the history of Malaysia"
However, in a YouTube video posted on the occasion of his 43rd birthday, Tony says he will not give up because he believes "the future generation deserves a better Malaysia to call home"
The DAP Lawmaker, although, can't do this alone, he says in the YouTube video, which after being posted on his Facebook page has so far been shared more than 2,700 times and has received over 8,900 Likes. "To make our dreams come true, I need your help."
The MP from Petaling Jaya Utara, therefore, asks Malaysians in the video to not just wish him a 'happy birthday' or even think about buying him a present (although, he appreciates the kind thoughts). Instead, he says, "save the money and invest it in our campaign to bring change via Impian Sabah and Sarawak."
But why Sabah and Sarawak?
Because, Tony believes that "without Sabah and Sarawak" the change for a better Malaysia, which he says, "we are desperately seeking" won't happen.
